First rolling out the CTC’s mat in 2013, Professor Tony Debelak has been Colorado’s top Certified Gracie Instructor ever since. Professor Tony’s Gracie CTC is the longest running Gracie Jiu Jitsu Certified Training Center in the Denver metropolitan area, as well as in the entire state of Colorado. Prof. Tony personally strives to be a life long learner and under that pretenses he climbed the ladder of potential by making Gracie Jiu Jitsu Aurora Colorado’s first and only Level 4 Certified Training Center. All classes at GJJA are expert-led by Gracie Certified Instructors. Learn more about our team by exploring bio’s, videos, and photos we’ve organized on our team page.

At GJJA we train street, sport, art, and combat jiu jitsu. What’s the difference? Gracie Jiu Jitsu puts an emphasis on self defense for real-world scenarios. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu typically omits the usage of punches and other strikes and focuses on grappling. At GJJA we train street, practice the art, do sport jiu jitsu and prepare for combat.
It’s no small feat to be a Level 4 Certified Gracie Academy. Rener and Ryron Gracie developed a rigorous process to become certified to teach Gracie Jiu Jitsu at any level, let alone at the top level of 4. So what does Level 4 mean? It means that the Gracie Jiu Jitsu Aurora Academy is authorized by Rener and Ryron Gracie to train and issue belt’s at all levels from white to brown belt stripe 4. A Level 1 Gracie Certified Training Center can only teach and issue up to Combatives belts.
